♡ 20 ( +1 | -1 ) I agree that he was one of the greatest chess players to ever live; but honestly, I did not admire the man. I used to admire him, because of his remarkable chess; but after some of his crazy statements, I changed my opinion.

♡ 27 ( +1 | -1 ) I agree...100% with what lighttotheright said above. No one can deny his genius as a chess player extraordinaire. And I suppose I shouldn't dislike a mentally ill person, but I had no respect for Fisher as a human being. It's not the first time that a genius goes off the deep end, that's for sure.

♡ 26 ( +1 | -1 ) RIPRIP my chess role model Bobby Fischer--if it wasn't for the movie "In Search of Bobby Fischer", I would never have gotten into this wonderful sport like I have. I owe my interest and desire to play chess to you. You are the best!

♡ 44 ( +1 | -1 ) Genius is goneMost players agree that Fischer was one of the all-time greatest chessplayer on earth. In my mind he was clearly one of the 3 most brilliant: Morphy,Fischer,Kasparov. Its a pity that he did not live longer here in Iceland because he was happy here and we Iceland peoble are proud of been saving him from the jail in Japan. He has now been buried in small village outside Reykjavk. His legasy in chess will live forever.
